The river of consciousness flows from countless streams, constantly changing its force and complexity. My practice of multiple mediums churns through the landscape of theology like a spiral of chaos in its bed. 

Driven by methodical, action-based and repetitive motions, Kathigitis’ practice draws upon the conscious and unconscious action. The phenomenological methodology used presents her works as detailed maps of being and the notion of oneself. Through multiple medias, she explores the fragility of the cohesive mind; pulling at the strings of Biophilia. Kathigitis delves into the human behaviours towards fear, apprehension and quality of the mind. Presenting portraits of (the dissipation of) consciousness and the abstract span of realities.

Olivia is a sculpture and installation artist based in Adelaide, Australia graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from the University of South Australia in 2014. Participating in the Elizabeth Day, Bruny Island residency (Australia), The La Wayaka Current Arctic (Norway) residency and in 2019, the La Wayaka Current Desert residency in Chile, Olivia is active in a self-lead artistic practice.
